My first car, nearly 40 years ago was a Mini Clubman, I renewed the acquaintance with a Mini HL in the early eighties. Entering my second childhood, and in a vain attempt to regain lost youth, (didn’t work) I became the proud owner of a 2000 Mpi Cooper a few years ago.

At  my first  ‘Mini’ event, which was Mini Mania in 2009 I came across these guys, nevering  thinking that I would their Chairman a few years later. They’re a great crowd of people, nerdy if you want to be, normal if you don’t. As long as you our love of Minis I’m sure you’ll enjoy it as much as me.

Both became involved in mini's when they bought a '76 Clubby as their second car! After a year and a half we managed to brea the rings on 3 pistons and the 'lady' (named by Jenna) got a new lease of life with a 1275!

When we moved accross from South Africa we missed the fun so bought a 1986 city e. We've been on many adventures, travelling to London, doing the L2B, IMM at Longbridge and the list goes on..

It all started a few years ago. I felt so sorry for a little red and silver mini just sat in somebody’s back garden doing nothing so we bought it and did nothing to it really for some years, It was known as my water feature in my side garden (oh bless) for sometime. Then little Aimee came along  and we decided to do it up so we could all go to the different shows. We are still loving it. It brings back memories of driving the dodgems and you can't stop smiling.

Started messing around with Minis in the early 1960’s and forgot to stop. Owned or worked on the majority of the variants in various states of tune in the intervening forty odd years. Every one of these grey hairs has been hard earned.
